Lecture and book reading by Omar Barghouti, author of
Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS): The Global Struggle for Palestinian Rights (Haymarket, 2011).
The event will take place on Wednesday the 21st September, starting 5:00pm at the hall of the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music in Ramallah.
Questions and discussion will follow Barghouti's brief presentation about the importance of the BDS movement in the peaceful struggle for Palestinian rights under international law, particularly the right to self determination through ending the occupation, denial of refugee rights, and the system of racial discrimination. Barghouti will also sign copies of the book which will be available for purchase at the venue. Translation from Arabic to English will be provided to those who need it.
